The world showcase of creativity for all makers, innovators, DIY enthusiasts and their fans took place in Brno at the end of October for the 4th time. Six FME student teams also took part in the programme of the unconventional Maker Faire festival.
Visitors learned about electronic and technological gadgets, crafts, design, 3D printing, sustainable projects, robots, etc. In total, there were around 100 makers and their cool projects, workshops and installations. There were also scientific experiments.
Students from the strojLAB team presented an underwater drone Argo, which is designed to explore flooded underground spaces. Their programme also included a workshop where visitors had the opportunity to create their own catapult using spatulas and rubber bands.
Physical experiments were entertained by students from the Institute of Physical Engineering, while mechatronic devices were set in motion by students from the MechLab team. We also presented a student formula, a pneumobile and a plane from our teams TU Brno Racing, Pneumobil Racing Team and Chicken Wings.
Other BUT faculties also joined the programme.
