On Wednesday, 15 November, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the BUT hosted the traditional race "Strojařské schody". 129 male and female competitors and 47 relay teams, including teams of the Dean and the Rector's Office, took to the start of the 19th edition. This year, for the first time in the history of the race, the gold medal was shared by two champions, Adam Kopec and Lukáš Preisler, both with the same time of 01:25,84.
On Wednesday morning at 10:15 the first competitor ran out of the basement of the A1 high-rise building. And then another and another. During the day, 129 competitors from the ranks of students or graduates climbed the 18 floors of the highest university building in the Czech Republic.
After lunch, the relays in the student and VIP categories took to the track, including a relay consisting of members of the management of the Faculty of Engineering or the Rectorate relay "Panthers of the Rectorate".

Congratulations to the winners and all the other competitors who outdid themselves and gave it their all! We would like to thank the Student Chamber of the Faculty Academic Senate for their great organization, who also donated the proceeds from the voluntary entry fee of 16,954 CZK to charity.
In the spirit of a healthy lifestyle, prevention and awareness, the accompanying event was also held in which forty students of the faculty signed up for the hematopoietic cell donor register.
