Charging electric cars is a bit easier at the BUT campus. A new E.ON charging station was put into operation yesterday at the parking lot in front of the main building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It will offer the possibility of charging for two cars at the same time.
The charging station is built in such a way that it is not necessary to go behind the barrier to the faculty prking lot to use it. The public can thus use the station non-stop. The facility offers the two most common connectors currently available for charging electric vehicles. Registered E.ON customers can use a charging card or mobile app to recharge, while others can pay for the service with a payment card via a QR code at the charging point. More information about the service can be found at www.eon-drive.cz
The new station is primarily intended for the public, but employees can already use the charging stations on the faculty campus: four designated for faculty electric vehicles are behind building A1, two more near building B1 and two in D5.
