Internships, temporary jobs, trainee programmes and full-time work. Employers offered all of this at the 25th Career Fair, which took place on March 9. The event was record-breaking in terms of the number of exhibitors, with 65 companies coming to present themselves.
The fair at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the BUT is annually accompanied by great interest from students, and this year the event was also visited by more than fifteen hundred future mechanical engineers. Students often come to the stands of individual companies prepared and with very specific questions about the possibility of future employment in the company, helped by the catalogue, of which 1,500 were distributed this year and is also available online.
"The Career Fair offers a unique opportunity for our students to meet relevant employers. We invite students of all years to the event, as companies offer not only full-time jobs, but also cooperation on bachelor's and master's degrees, internships, trainee programmes or part-time jobs in the industry. We try to motivate our students not to be afraid to gain experience while studying, every such item on a CV can be useful in the future," says Iveta Hovorková, the event coordinator.

Traditional partners of the faculty were not missing among the exhibitors, but every year there are also representatives of new companies looking for employees for the first time among the students. This year's edition also brought a novelty in the form of additional exhibition space: in addition to the traditional corridors in A5, companies could also be seen in the area in front of Aula Q.
