For the sixth time in a row, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology has won the School Recommended by Employers competition. Representatives of companies from all over the Czech Republic evaluated the faculties of the university in terms of their contribution to the labour market and the qualification of graduates. The result of the faculty also contributed to the second highest ranking of Brno University of Technology among Czech universities.
The School Recommended by Employers competition is organised by the Employers' Club of the Czech Republic. Leading employers evaluate the faculties of universities in terms of their graduates' contribution to the labour market. More than 900 companies from all over the Czech Republic, including most of the major employers nationwide and in the regions, participated in the evaluation this year. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology defended its first place ahead of two faculties of VŠB-TU Ostrava.
It is clear from the results that employers highlight the quality of graduates of technical disciplines, especially in the field of engineering, whose graduates are among the most sought-after on the labour market. The award was accepted for the Faculty and the BUT as a whole by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Josef Bednář.
