The paper presents results of residual stress determination in EUCOR ceramics plasmatic coating. The coating was performed on steel test sample and test sample of casted EUCOR ceramics. Hole drilling method has been used. Residual compressive stress occurs in EUCOR plasmatic coating coated on steel sample, residual tensile stress occurs in coating on casted EUCOR. Hole drilling method was simulated by computational modeling. The case of sample made of three layers of materials with different elasticity coefficients was analyzed. The sample was loaded in such a way that plane stress occurred in the sample. The paper presents the strains courses occurring after drilling the bore in the sample found by the simulations.
