Originální abstrakt
The synthetic jet is used in many applications such as heat transfer enhancement, flow control, etc. The effective use of synthetic jets requires a thorough knowledge of the flow parameters and other aspects of this phenomenon. In this paper, particle image velocimetry was used for the investigation of the synthetic jet generated by the acoustic actuator with the circle orifice. The time-averaged velocity, velocity component, and their standard deviation fields were presented and discussed in the relatively long distance of 10 orifice diameter lengths. All investigated contours were symmetrical or almost symmetrical, and for this reason, the synthetic jet was defined as axisymmetric.
