An original 3D numerical model of the temperature field of a system, comprising a plate casting, the mold and the surroudings, had been assembled and used to optimize the production technology of a verticaly cast steel plate. It is possible to calculate the optimum thickness of insulation for ensuring the quality of the casting.

Originální 3D numerický model teplotního pole, zahrnující plochý odlitek, formu a okolí, je sestaven a použit k optimalizaci technologie výroby vertikálního odlitku ploché ocelové desky. Je možné vypočítat optimální tloušťku izolace potřebnou k zajištění kvality odlitku.

An original 3D numerical model of the temperature field of a system, comprising a plate casting, the mold and the surroudings, had been assembled and used to optimize the production technology of a verticaly cast steel plate.
