This paper presents the design of a three-wheeled tilting vehicle equipped with an electric powertrain which can be categorized as e-micromobility. With the growing concern over carbon emissions and their impact on the environment, the paper addresses the vehicle's sustainability aspects. As an electric-powered micromobility solution, the tilting vehicle aims to contribute to reducing the overall carbon footprint in urban and sub-urban areas. The main goal is to develop this vehicle on the existing scooter platform. The challenge in the design is mainly the tilting mechanism of the front axle. It has to allow large suspension travels for travel over bumps on the road or in terrain, generate sufficient tilting angles for precise and safe cornering, while also remaining stable, light and compact for the micromobility usage. To achieve this objective, a multibody model of the suspension was created, and subsequent kinematic and dynamic analyses were carried out to facilitate the process. In addition, a basic simulation of the drivetrain was also carried out for the analysis of longitudinal dynamics and the design of the optimal battery capacity. The results of these simulations were verified by laboratory experiments. The proposed tilting vehicle was built, and its resulting behavior verified by experimental testing on the road and in terrain.
