Greenhouse gas abatement, the utilisation of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and waste recovery represent the main pillars of sustainable development. Food industry deserves innovation in forming a sustainable food system, including sustainable food production, sustainable food processing, storage and distribution, sustainable food consumption as well as food loss and waste prevention.
