Originální abstrakt
Coupled modeling, within the meaning of including various physical aspects into one complex model, is desirable and unavoidable in many cases in technical practice these days. This attitude can be advantageously used in the design of technical devices. The more complex model is created, the more precise simulation of the reality is possible to obtain. But the complexity of a computational model must always correspond with what we expect from it. Electricity and magnetism are strongly related to the thermal aspect. This is one of the reasons why neglecting this complexity can lead to misleading results. The intention of this paper is to show such a relationship with an illustrative example. The main result is a complex computational model of a solenoid that connects the mechanical and the thermal part of the system.
