The report describes activities performed to develop procedures simulating PZT sensor system using finite element (FE) software. These activities include the first simulations on isotropic material (including selection of FE system), followed by FE simulation on disperse curves for a composite plate, estimation of sensor detection areas, and simulation including material damage.
