Originální abstrakt
This paper describes the parameters that can be used to compare damaged and undamaged pneumatic cylinders. A lot of difficulties faced the defect detection processing especially that depend on the noise and temperature and friction. Followed methods were trying to separate the external effects from the obtained signal. The relation between Root mean square (RMS) and the displacement describe the movement of piston related with the behaviour of signal during progress and retreat stroke. A number of undamaged pneumatic cylinders were tested by acoustic emission, after that an artificial defects were made in the same cylinders. The results were compared to find distinctive differences that determine whether the cylinder is damaged or undamaged. The value of total RMS determines the quality of cylinder. And the number and distribution of the count determine whether the cylinder is damaged or undamaged. And also comparing maximum signal between progress and retreat stroke and the obtained signal from two sensor give the supporting result to other parameters.
