In technical diagnostic we can often meet with problem, how exactly define limits between fault and working state in monitored system. We are concerned with research in non-destructive testing, following newest trends in diagnostic. One of possible method is design expert system, which is based on input laboratory measured values and then it can competently predicates state of electrical rotary machine. Decisive factor is value of breakdown voltage in concrete used insulating material. It was used material Relanex in our case. For realization our expert system, we used mathematic software Matlab, especially for its extensive and flexibility.
