Originální abstrakt

The aim of this article is to investigate the benefits of using trochoidal tool path to increase productivity of groove machining. Trochoidal trajectory is made by a combination of linear and circular interpolation. This milling strategy gives more control over the cutting process and machining stability. An analysis of the different types of trochoidal path has been carried out and the most productive one has been tested. Cutting conditions were changed systematically and productivity and tool life were measured. Obtained data was compared with conventional groove milling and used for description influence of the effect of setting trochidal movement on the monitored variables.
