The contribution aims at the initiation of unacceptable cracks in a body that is a part of certain tech-nological equipment. The body is loaded by non-stationary temperature fields and, in one operation cycle, by pressure acting on its upper half. An analysis of possibilities of computational modelling is presented here, as well as an illustration of its results and of results of residual stress evaluation and of the body material structure analysis.
