In the last decade, high entropy alloys (multi principal element alloys) were developed as new family of materials with high application potential. The effect of anti-agglomeration milling agent on phase composition, structure and size of inequiatomic AlCoCrFeNiTi0,5 mechanically milled powders were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive spectroscopy detector (EDS) were utilized for microstructural analyses. During mechanical alloying (MA), a supersaturated Cr based solid solution with BCC structure was formed after 10 hours of milling, with significantly reduced grain size. During the annealing of milled powders, this solid solution decomposed into the mixture of four different phases. It has been found, that use of milling agent has an extensive influence on milled powders properties. Significant differences in phase composition, microstructures and powder particles size were observed, with more favorable results in case of milling under the presence of the milling agent.
