Originální abstrakt

Coupling lifetime decreasing in dependence on the stream mixing was ignored in earlier times. Close attention to this topic was paid after recurring damages. These damages were caused by uneven temperature load caused by non-stationary temperature field in material. This phenomenon is continuously investigated and solved worldwide. The different effects (the temperature, velocity, pressure, geometry) contribute to formation of the damages. In this paper the effect of the stream velocity on the coupling damage is discussed. In this case study the coupling is perpendicular to a main pipeline. A real case of a coupling used in a chemical industry, is analyzed.
