Original abstract

Article shows the application of CAD software Solid Edge 18 in the mold tooling design. Not only 3D part but also mold can be created using add-in software Mold Tooling. Mold is created step-by-step from the given part. Hence the mold completion is faster and at lower cost. Between part and mold remains associative bonds; changes in the part shape leads to the matching cavity. Article explains fundamental modeling, which leads to more effective mold design.
