Original abstract
Measurements of recovery forces produced by Nitinol wires assumed for the linear actuator in the Stewart platform were performed at the Institute of Physics in Prague in collaboration with the Brno University of Technology. For an optimal selection of the material, a high influence of both the prestrain and the temperature range on the recovery behaviour had to be taken into account. The first results show that, besides a suitable behaviour of the actuator M-wire, the superelastic C-wire also reveals properties applicable for actuation under the condition of a high prestrain level.
