Original abstract

Thermal damage of apparatus material is a serious problem in the chemical industry. This thermal damage mostly results from high process temperature, which is much higher in this industry than in nuclear power engineering. High temperature can cause even material damage by creep. These problems about temperature damage are solved and responsible measures are concluded all around the world. Recently close attention is dedicated to thermal damage of coupling material results from different temperature stream mixing. Incipient crack in piping surface is made by rapid temperature decrease.
