Original abstract

The material thermal fatigue of T-joints caused by mixing of medium of different properties, can be found in many industries like chemical, petrochemical and energetic industry. The cause of this fatigue is the action of non-stationary temperature fields resulting from turbulent flow. These fields together with different volume expansivity of T-joint material, cause the material fatigue. The emergency systems T-joints and non-continuously running T-joints are the most endangered ones. When solving this problem, it is important to focus on the examination of the thermo-hydraulic parameters influence on the material damaging, and on the finding of optimal conditions leading to the reducing of this material damaging.
